This groundbreaking formulation adds amazing texture and hold with ZERO shine, breathing new life into oily, slept-on hair.

 

HOW IT WORKS

This high-hold product is one part styling wax and one part dry shampoo. The gritty formula contains diatomaceous earth, a soft granular rock similar to pumice that sucks up excess oil on the hair and scalp.

 

HOW TO USE

Rub a small pinch between your fingertips then apply to second-day hair to add lift and texture or to damp hair (with the use of a blow dryer) to achieve gravity defying volume!

I love this product. I have super thick hair that gets oily overnight and I don't really have the time in the morning to wash my hair so this is perfect for me. Easily manipulated when rubbed in the hands and goes in the hair easily when you style it..it keeps your hair dry and it stays in the style you want all day in high wind or rain. Less is definitely more with this product as using too much and you can tell your hair/scalp is almost too dry. Doesn't harden and you can easily run your fingers through your hair all day. The scent was super strong when I opened it for the first time ****so what I do Is I leave the lid on top but loosened to allow air to lessen the scent...

Coming from a long time Gatsby and Crew user, this hair product immediately impressed me with its long lasting hold and nonexistent shine. The texture feels like a grainy, powdery, paste (kind of like quicksand!) and has a pleasant scent. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a hair product high hold with zero shine. Also, shoutouts to Mai for the responsive customer support!

I have very thin hair. I'm that person who could rock a bowl cut (I'm Asian). I've tried products like American Crew, layrite, suavecito and let me tell you it's complete garbage. My hair would just turn to a puddle of grease and 0% volume. I couldn't find a product that would give volume/lift to my hair. Until, I watched many youtube videos of people using Hanz De Fuko. I was a bit skeptical at first I started to ask myself questions. So long story short I tried out the Quicksand because I heard it's really good for thin hair. When I got it in the mail I had to try it out and I ran to the bathroom like Usain Bolt. OMG IT CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER! I took a dime size pinch and rubbed it through my damp hair. The texture felt like that after beach kinda feel in your hair. Kinda makes your hair feel a dry, but in a GOOD way. It gave me so much volume and no grease (which it said) which was awesome! If it's windy out just simply play with your hair to get it back together! I WOULD 10/10 recommend this product to anyone (especially people with thin hair)

While both Quicksand and Claymation do everything they claim to do style wise in regard to both hold and texture, these products do Not wash out of your hair as claimed. In fact the more you use them, the greater the build up. I use a good clarifying shampoo to remove all styling products, but even that doesn't work. I have had to revert to a product I used previously which does wash out and has a matte finish. Kudos for not testing on animals though.

Best product I've ever used! Has a great feel while it's in your hair and has a hold that lasts all day. I've tried other products like American Crew Fiber which doesn't even come close to Quicksand. Truly an amazing product.

This product is amazing. I have thin straight oily hair (just recently cut it short) and i wanted something that makes my hair fuller and textured. I can basically mold my hair in anyway I desire without it looking like i have product in it. The texture of the product is somewhat of creamy paste and has the slightest griddyness to it. I skateboard so most of the time I'm sweating which also allows this products to work in my favor with the dry shampoo effect. With allows me to mold it and keeps my hair less oily through out the day. (Concidering I use to surf) it reminds me of when I got back from surfing with the whole beachy feel too it which I love.. smell is very good. It almost reminds me of "la male" the cologne for men. But not over powering at all and a natural clay smell. It's actually quite pleasent. Being all organic based is a huge plus over other top brands. Shipping was fast and the extras were cool. All in all this is a great product to have in your everyday routine.

Recently I've ordered Sponge Wax but also got deluxe mini kit with it. I've always been interested in Quicksand so I decided to try it... O-M-G. Quicksand is the most unique hair product I've ever used. It gives you incredible feelings just like you're at the beach and you have some sand or dirt in your hair but obviously in a good way. It gives you amazing hold and pretty matte finish. AMAZING PRODUCT!

Quicksand is a really convenient product for me. I normally only wash my hair with shampoo every few days, but with using this a couple times in a week, I can go the whole 7 days without washing my hair. The dry shampoo part really works. Sometimes it almost makes my hair feel a little too dry, but it's not bad. It has an amazing hold, and gives really good texture and volume. It also has a very matte finish. It really looks like nothing's there from the outside, but you can definitely feel it if you put your hands though it. You don't really need to use much of this at all to get at least some on all of your hair. It goes a long way. My only real complaint with this product is that it is kind of difficult to rinse out of your hair. All HDF products are supposed to be water soluble, but this one takes quite a while to rinse out. All in all though, Quicksand is an amazing hair styling product, and I plan to buy it again whenever I run out.

I've tried a good amount of hair products from american crew, v76 by vaughn, bumble and bumble, still waiting to try by vilain but quicksand is definitely something I can count on. I can practically style my hair in anyway I want with this product. It helps give a fuller look to thin hair like mine and it really lasts all day, the hold is strong but still flexible. If it moves throughout the day you brush it up or use your hands to restyle it and it'll stay. For me, I still have to use a little hair spray if I want my hair to stay a certain style all day but its really good at holding without the hairspray, i just use it as insurance. My hair is pretty long on the top so finding a product to hold it up is tough but quicksand does the job. The dry shampoo part is a pretty weird feeling at first but you get used to it. It's a pretty grainy type feel so just beware but it looks great. I recommend this product to anyone who has straight, thin and naturally oily hair. The dry matte finish really tops it off for me. I also found it works well cocktailing it with sponge wax if you want a little extra hold and a natural shine.

I started styling my hair with a number of mediocre products, beginning with run-of-the-mill gel and ending up at American Crew Fiber. I don't mean to attack another company, but with Quicksand, I was able to get the same style (modern quiff) with a fourth of the product, and it looks better, and has stayed in place all day. Albeit, my hair is on the shorter side right now- at its longest it goes from my hair line to halfway to my eyebrows- Quicksand holds it in place with rock steady hold. Plus, I haven't washed my hair in a few days, and after applying this miraculous clay, my hair feels and looks very dry, as if I had spent all day at the beach. If you're like me, and have been using anything other than Hanz De Fuko, make the switch right now; if you want to experience how great and unique hair products can really be, start with Quicksand.

This is like the swiss army knife of Hanz De Fuko, serves many different purposes. You can use it at some videos in the past described it as a dry shampoo and it will suck up excess oil (as you can see in the description). Good for on the go styling solution if i don't have enough time to style. I have also used it with damp-to-dry hair with blow dryer on cold to add some volume. Quicksand is also a great base for concoctions/cocktails. I like using quicksand, blowdry, then using Modify Pomade to style an awesome pomp, or all cumbed to the back (i have long on top, short on sides).

This is hands-down the best hair product I've ever used. I have thick hair, and it's perfect because it controls unruly strands without stiffness or waxy residue. And my friends with thin hair love it because it adds volume!
