I love it. It’s has great hold but you can run your fingers through it. And it’s not shiny at all.
Love the sponge wax! Easy to work with and has the perfect amount of hold and texture.
I strongly dislike the texture of both the product itself and my hair after using it. While it does have a matte finish it also leaves my hair very dry and frizzy

I've been a client for 10Y+ and the combination of Sponge Wax & Daily Shampoo is my key products. My only suggestion is that since the smaller sized shampoo is no longer available; a travel sized shampoo makes a big difference if you don't want to take the whole bottle with you on a trip.

Simply awesome. The best wax product I've ever used and wish I had this 20 years ago. Easy to apply to lightly towel dried + slightly air dried hair and the sponge wax dries nicely and my hair looks healthy and clean. I love that this doesn't dry out my hair at all like some natural clay products as I have sort of dry hair. Extremely easy to wash out. I think it's actually healthy for hair. Smell is neutral and not noticeable at all.

Great product and consistent
This is a great hair product for me. You just need a little a little dab. Dont thin it out with water, but wet your hair. It is bit sticky while applying, but can easily come of your hands with washing them. your hair stays put almost all day even after you recomb your hair throughout the day.

My go to hair wax! A little goes a long way and this product isn’t sticky at all once in the hair. The texture is pretty much natural hair feel but with some hold. If your hair feels sticky and crunchy, it means you put too much in!
Love HDF's Hybridized Wax. I mainly use it as a pre-styler and finish with Claymation. With how thick my hair is, it's good to have a light prestyler that adds some moisture and shine before using a matte product.
Definitely the HDF product I use the most. It provides natural, pliable, hold, as well as, a soft touchable finish with nice texture. Works great as a prestyler as well. In the summer when I wear my hair really short I use Sponge Wax, then finish it off with a tiny bit of Quicksand for added matte texture.

I recently ordered the sponge wax product during their black Friday sales event. When I received the product, it had yeast growth on it. I emailed support about it and they were very prompt to give me a replacement. I tossed the one I had and waited for the new one. I finally got home from a trip and opened it up. This new sponge wax they gave me still had yeast growth on it! Please inspect your products before applying them. Customer service was great 5/5. Product not usable 1/5. 3/5 overall
I'd have to say this is my go to product, and has been for quite a few years now. I have short-to-medium length hair, long enough that if I don't style it, it looks unkempt. I had originally used Scheme Cream, but I found that after a long day, especially in the heat, it just didn't hold up. This stuff does! But it doesn't get too stiff, and what I love about all of these are that they rinse right out without the need for a lot, or even any, shampoo.
Just wanted to see if this was actually a working review site. I see that all the reviews are 5 Stars and from Oct. 12, 2019. At least I assume all of them are, I stopped looking for more reviews after 5 pages.
I've been using sponge wax for a few years now and something is different with my most recent purchase. It doesn't have the same hold, texture, pliability, scent, anything. It's like a new product with subpar results. Normally I love this product, but maybe it's been changed since I last got it a few months back.
I bought a jar of this 6 months ago from a salon and it was amazing. After I ran out I bought another jar on Amazon which had a totally different consistency and smell as the original, not to mention it didn't hold longer than an hour or so. I thought maybe I had bought a fake product since it was such a difference from my first experience. So I decided to buy another jar directly from Hanz De Fuko. Waste of Money. They have changed the formula. The original bottle used to say "Certified Organic Extracts" and was also paraben free. This new version just doesn't hold up.
